Re: Thinking of starting a blog.....but a question

Thanks for the input, GKJeyasingham. It's assuring to know that you've found blogging to be a lot of fun. When there's pressure to blog it's easy to conceive of the whole thing as being a chore. Still, like you said, I'm a little concerned about finding things to write about. I've been thinking that...

Re: Virtual Genesis

I agree with enewmeyer's and wilderness' comments. I'd address the characters sooner, although I don't see anything problematic with not having a single main character or a one who's seen as the Sleepless Knights' leader if you can suffuse your query with a stronger sense of the group dynamic. Re: Query: NO SHELTER FROM DARKNESS (horror)

Since I'm new to this and you seem to be getting some good suggestions already from the pros (nice progress by the way on the revision), I'll just leave a couple remarks. Re: Thinking of starting a blog.....but a question

I've also had these questions, so I was happy to see some good answers! Re: Who's on Goodreads?

Another benefit I forgot to mention is that I anticipate cataloging my reading and reviews on Goodreads will be rewarding on down the line when I start to forget precisely how I felt about a book. Or how my opinions about a read might alter with multiple readings over time.

Re: Who's on Goodreads?

I've tried to convince friends to join but most people I know either aren't that into reading and the few that are have no interest in joining Goodreads. So even though I don't have any friends there yet ( http://www.goodreads.com/friend/i?i=LTM2MDMxNDIzNDE6Mzc5 ), an unexpected benefit is just know...

Re: The Introduction Thread

Hello everyone! I started visiting Nathan's blog a number of months back after I completed my first manuscript. I deliberately put off doing any kind of research into the publishing industry while writing probably because I knew it would overwhelm me. Lo and behold, I'm now overwhelmed. After taking...
