Re: I'm full of prose--Help!

:-) I've stuck it on reams. But who reads it? I feel like it has no home and it's probably just for me. Sad.

Re: How old are you?

34, been writing since I could hold a pencil, and sometimes afraid I'll die before I'm finished.

Re: Writing with ADHD

This is also near and dear to MY heart. I didn't even finish reading the thread after I got to this post. What you have described is my life and I am not sure how to deal with it!! I just finished an article titled "ADHD on Stage" because I have been wrestling with the challenges I have an...

Re: Literary YA--What is it?

Terrific stuff, everyone. I believe we are on the same page. My list for my next library visit is now about a mile long. I want to tackle this beast and you've all helped me with the initial process. Thanks! BTW... Nathan mentioned this thread in a recent blog post. I do believe we are famous! Hahah...

Unfortunately, it's so addictive it also sucks up my writing time, my cleaning time, my reading time,...

Re: Literary YA--What is it?

I'm not sure why YA appeals to me--I am 34--maybe because I was a voracious young reader and now I have children who I want to follow in my footsteps. There is something about a great YA book that keeps truth simple, yet deep. I've not found all that many that fit that category, to be honest. Most a...

Re: Literary YA--What is it?

I agree...but would Literary YA be a category of it's own? In the way that adult Literary fiction is sort of it's own thing? For instance, something like McEwan's Atonement would be considered Literary--I think--while something by Grafton is not. I wonder what YA falls into the Literary category? Th...

Literary YA--What is it?

I can Google with the best of them, but I'm curious: What do you consider Literary YA Fiction? And how does one go about writing it?
