Re: Live - BransforumFest 2012
Hi Sommer and everyone else in Vegas!
Thank you so much for the updates about the awesome time you're all having, I'm enjoying them very much. I so wanted to be there too, but it didn't work out for me. Have fun!

Re: What are you reading now?
I'm in the middle of "Kingdom Under Glass" by Jay Kirk, and it's great. It's about the taxidermist behind the turn-of-the-century wildlife installations at various Natural History Museums. Fascinating stuff - although all the animal-killing is almost too much to bear.

Re: Your Most Random Writer's Fodder Moment
Brenda, what a wonderful idea and what wonderful and REAL experiences you've had. Let me think... I've given birth, at home, in my own bed, with my husband in attendance (he cut the cord) along with a midwife and my mother (a labor-and-delivery nurse) who jumped on my empty tummy just minutes after ...

Re: Ever Just Take A Writing Break?
I definately take writing breaks. I am creative in several different areas. I am a jeweler and a musician as well as a writer, and I tend to spend dedicated, concentrated time on each in turn. For some reason, I can't seem to pour my intensity into the metalwork and the writing at the same time (I'l...

Re: In the Land of the Super-Geniuses
I agree with everything NickB said. When I clicked on your thread, I have to say I was in a bit of a rush and had no intention of reading the whole thing because really, I didn't have the time - but I couldn't stop reading, ha! As well as your great story with all the hilarious, insane little touche...

Re: Anyone up for a Meet 'n' Greet?
Thanks for the info, Sommer Leigh. My conflict is an art show (I'm a jeweler) I'll have to travel to near Chicago and I know the dates (the last week of February) - but I won't know for a while I'll get juried into the show. And then there's the issue of convincing my husband that I NEED TO GO to a ...

Re: Anyone up for a Meet 'n' Greet?
Hi everyone, I've been following this Meet 'n' Greet thread almost from the beginning, and I would sure like to join the fun. Only problem is, I have a conflict... or, maybe I'll have a conflict, I won't know for sure for a while. Grrrr! Have the Las Vegas dates been chosen? What are they? Thanks, E...

An Elephant Crashed my Wedding
Hi Forum friends, My husband, Richard, and I just got back a few days ago from an African Safari. We were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary. The trip was amazing and wonderful and I could go on and on about the animals we saw, about the beauty of the land, about the kind, generous people...

Re: Great words
Heat prostration. My daughter came home from school several years ago, amazed and bewildered because she heard her teacher say he was "dying of heat prostration" - but how could that be? It wasn't a real saying! She was convinced, absolutely and completely convinced, that "heat prostr...

Hi GaoYuQing,
Welcome!
I agree with everything the others have said. Also - I think your story itself sounds wonderful!
