Re: Agents by genre
I noticed poetry wasn't on there, are there any search engines for agents representing poetry?

technical question
Ok sorry if there's already been a post about this, but I was just wondering if there was a conversion thingie as to how many words is a single published book page. And also how many words would people say is a collection of short stories? So far I have around 13,000 words. How many books size pages...

Brainstorming Ideas
This might sound weird because I write non fiction, but I do tend to incorporate other themes into my writing so anything to get my pen to move! lol

Non Fiction looking for a critique partner
Hi there, I'm working on a non fiction short stories manuscript and am looking for similar or the same. I will read yours if you'll read mine! Thanks, I'll keep this post short, but think David Sedaris, and Anthony Bourdain. Augusten Burroughs perhaps.

I believe I'm a poet. I haven't gotten my poetry published in awhile though. wavepoetry.com has got some great links to poetry presses.

Re: Internships
Can someone list a possible list of publishing companies that are hiring for editors? Also, if it's not listed on the website that they're looking for editors do you think it's an ok idea to contact them directly anyway to inquire about that?

Re: Writing Soundtracks
Might I suggest grooveshark.com, they have an abundant amount of streaming mp3s. It's all free, but you can VIP, which is the great part. Full albums too. I've been listening to James Brown and The Stax Singles lately while working on my short stories MS.

Re: The Introduction Thread
Hey everyone, My name is Mark and I just discovered the forum and blog today (on my birthday!). I have to say it looks quite nice. I don't really have much to say right now as I am deafly exhausted but also really hot (I haven't got AC in my room unfortunately) so I'm not sure if I'll be doing much ...
