Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Michael was still stuck on the island as a voice. Walt had no long term connection to the others. I'm having trouble with the idea that Michael is stuck on the island. Ben, Hurley, Rose, and Bernard presumably all died on the island. Ben did a lot more bad things than Michael (who redeemed himself ...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

I'm actively writing in other threads on other forums, the consensus right now is this: -Everything that happened was real -Those who died during the shows were sent to some sort of purgatory -Eventually when all (or most) of them all died, they were reunited so they could cross over to heaven toge...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

There are so many questions I have, but do we know why Penny was in purgatory? Because she wanted to be with Desmond. The particular group of people we saw leave all were waiting for one another. Some of the people we saw on the island were more attached to people outside that group. I think Ben is...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

I think showing Jacob to be about as well informed as Ben had ever been was amazing. It strips Jacob of his power over the audience and allows us to let go of him. It also throws the relevance of most outstanding questions into doubt. If Jacob, the man revered through the entire show, doesn't know ...

Re: How did you decide the genre?

Regan Leigh: I kind of like the suggestion of paranormal women's fiction, based on your description. I'm having the same problem. I've been describing my novel as offbeat literary fiction (as opposed to something heavy like Ian McEwan literary fiction). But having completely revamped my query letter...

Re: Monkeys vs. Bears

Depends on the context, I think. No one ever said a bear was going to type Shakespeare. But toss 'em both in a pit, and I'd have to go with the bear. Even if you let a human stand in for the monkey, the bear wins—maybe even *especially* if you let a human stand in for the monkey. I bet a gorilla wou...
