Re: Looking for a Critique Partner for Literary Fiction

I may be interested in reading it. I'm a literary writer who is working on a literary/contemporary YA though it is not ready for Beta reading at the moment (still in the first edit phase). I'd love to take a look. How long is it? Let me know. The more critique partners the better!

YA or Adult Novel?

I am writing a novel about two very different 18 year old girls who have horrific pasts but cross each other in a home for the mentally ill in which they become friends and sort of lovers, without the sex. They kiss several times and go into some exploration but not much. I don't know how I would pi...

Re: A page to ponder; literary fiction

Well, Serazen, I'm glad things are better? I hope that they are. No one deserves to be that stressed out, with so many things happening to loved ones. I have a suggestion. Before you cut the prologue/intro why don't you post it to see if it works? Maybe other people's criticism and direction can giv...

Re: A page to ponder; literary fiction

I disagree with the setup of the mental institution. Personally, I know all too well what goes on in there. Save for making myself look crazy I will tell you people are allowed to wear their own clothes in these places, not every staff member is out to get someone, albeit, there is a large part of t...

Re: Favorite writing distractions

School assignments reading, pretending I'm studying other authors when really, I'm just reading Blogging visiting blogs being a small lit journal's (school's) editor Playstation Steelers football (That's probably the most embarrassing I'll say in the forum- they are HORRIBLE this year!) Painting ske...

Re: Facebook vs. Twitter

It used to be Facebook. Then, a guy I follow on blogger said to give Twitter a try. It was "meh" at first until I found all these writers in the trenches and their tweets are really inspiring. I do use Facebook a lot, but I'm a tweeter. Sorry Mark Ruckerburg!
