A Shameless Plug

http://crazywriters.freeforums.org/ Well, my friend and I just started this website. It's for writers and naturally, we have a whole section or... well... two whole sections!!! devoted to not writing. Because we are crazy, writers, and therefore, not writing is our second best friend. If you're inte...

Re: Most efficient mode of outlining?

I am an uber free-writer, like you would not believe. When I start writing, I know what happens at the beginning of the story. Yeah. The beginning. That's it. Now, as I go, I figure out what my characters have going on in their lives, what the main objective is, etc. I never write it down because if...

Re: Looking for partner for some Sci-Fi short story material

Hello there. Are you still looking for critiques? If so, I'm on this website http://crazywriters.freeforums.org/ where you can post your work and have it critiqued chapter by chapter (or short story by short story). We're still gaining members but I know it's going to be a great site!

Re: Questionable content - do you read it?

Yes, I've read The Hunger Games trilogy. But I've always felt it's different because it's kids killing other kids. This would be a grown man killing a little boy with either a sword or a metal club or something like that.

Anyway, thanks for the replies, everyone!

A question on violence

Hi Nathan... Or whoever else feels the need to reply. :) I'm wondering if I could get your views on something: violence. But not just any violence. I'm working on an adult piece (my first outside the YA genre) and it's going very well. Or, it was up until yesterday. I've reached a scene that's going...

Re: How do you title a book?

I share your pain. One thing I agonize over for a long time after finishing something is whether or not I have the right title. I try to name after theme. (I write fantasy, so...yeah...) For instance: I have a novel, finished, (never going to be published!!!) that's called The Key. I named it that b...

Questionable content - do you read it?

My work in progress is...well...complicated, to say the least. I've created a dystopian world that's basically the last place any human would want to live. It's violent, corrupt, and any other horrible thing you can think of. (Excuse the lack of descriptors; it's late and my brain turned off about t...

Dear Mr. Bransford, Nyiri Koda is the pride of the North American Army, the daughter of two renowned researchers, phenomenal soldier and field doctor, and dedicated beyond belief to her work: hunting down Beasts. Long before Nyiri or any of her friends were born, The Great Accident, the end of the w...

Title: The Soldier Genre: YA Sci-fi Word count: 234 This was the end. I jumped behind a scrubby old bush, barren from the ravages of the latest drought.
