Re: Page Critique Friday 11/12/10
I like your first page. I'm curious about who this Scott Parker fellow is, what will happen when she returns to the outdoor setting, how their relationship will evolve, and how her parents seem to know how she'll react already. The voice is good, you let us know her[?] general age and social prefere...

Re: NaNoWriMo Word Widgets
Oh, hey! There I am! I was just about to add my name to the list, and I'm already there. Cool. :)
Now back to writing. I'm in the running for a cover in the 30 Days, 30 Covers competition, so I have to keep up to speed or I'll lose my place. If I haven't already. Eep.

For those who aren't able to participate in NaNoWriMo, there's a list of events similar to NaNo, including NaNoFiMo (National Finishing Month) in December and NaNoEdMo (revising) in March.

Re: Nanowrimo
There are no NaNo police, but you are supposed to start on November 1st with no more than an outline or some notes.

Re: Nanowrimo
This will be my second year attempting NaNoWriMo. I'm usually a belly-acher of a writer, agonizing over every line, but last year's NaNo was deliciously liberating! I grabbed a silly idea of what would have happened if my "real" protagonist had chosen a different path, and I went tearing a...

Re: So who's entering Nathan's first page contest?
Sommer - I totally know what you mean! I can feel confident, but the moment someone else looks at my work, I totally lose it - and get completely insecure. :) Glad to hear someone else feels similar! I posted mine and then sat there thinking, "What the heck did I write? Those aren't even words...

Re: So who's entering Nathan's first page contest?
I entered. Perhaps I'm into pain -- the pain of never winning a random drawing and the pain of discovering the true extent to which I am a hack, should I be selected. ;) Yes, it's my first post on the forum. I'm a daily reader of NB's blog, but I never noticed the forums. I already feel like I've be...
