Or has a character or relationship that I love and want to re-experience that. - eg. Wuthering Heights
Books heavy on plot even though I thoroughly enjoyed them won't be re-read.

it will be the genre of the next big bestseller book that everyone enjoys. And then all the copycat books come out in the same genre, and everyone thinks it's about the genre, but it's about that first book.

absolutely not, I would hate to have the pictures in my mind grounded by something concrete, and mundanely real, if you know what I mean. Or ruined by someone else's ideas
