Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

I think the flash sideways could be one of the most significant parts of the final season and it could be the ending of a culmination of a lot of the strange twists the plot has taken in the previous season. What if, We find that Ben (school teacher) was shot as a child and that's one of the reasons...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Steppe... Yeah Memento was a tricky flick, you know it has ties to The Number 23, huh? Of course "the incident" in Memento effects the short term memory but in The Number 23 the incident Walter experiences is the fall which totally wipes his memory of the whole killing he committed to set-...

Good Books - Bad Endings

One of my favorite stories was written by Anne Rice, The Mayfairs. I read The Witching Hour and found myself hanging on every word, I just loved the book, but when I finished the last chapter I was so disappointed I didn't know what to do. So I bought Lasher, I just fell in love with the work again ...

Re: What author would you have dinner with/what would you ask?

I would chose Paul (from the Bible)..

I would have to ask why he didn't consult a contract lawyer, especially for global distribution reciprocals.

Re: Forum Suggestions?

I believe that "Quick Reply" would benefit the board greatly.. With the length of post and the amounts of information members place in their posts quick reply makes a response window at the bottom of each thread. If someone wants to reply to a particular post that references two of three i...

Re: TWILIGHT - thoughts?

First, although I see an unrefined style in the writing of Twilight, I still enjoyed it as a whole. Some may see it as a glorified romance novel indeed it most probably is. But I find that the average males avoidance of the romance novel and the emotional tales they weave as a waste of most valuable...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Steppe So if a nuke goes off in my kitchen only clicks of me would be erased from universal memory, I was under the impression I would be dislodged from the time-space mainframe in totality. I mean everyone knows that photon balance in the high energy fields of a atomic explosion that produce tachyo...

Re: Nonfiction

Blondie.. Asimov was a great example of a non-fiction writer doing fiction and a great job of it I must add. L. Ron was another example that comes to mind not to compare the two. My work is a non-fiction work on evolution as a universal construct. Human evolution, the evolution of the psyche, galact...

Re: TWILIGHT - thoughts?

When I first read Twilight I had this thought and seeing the movie has just enhanced it.. In The Lost Boys the movie near the end the main vampire says, " It was all about you Lucy. I just wanted us to be one big happy family" Then one of the comic brothers says, " Great the blood suc...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

L.girlie, Your not L.V.G from Vamp Rave are you? O.S.S. is a no-no! (but I won't tell).. You can P.M. me there if it is you. ============= But back to Lost, if you just watched Pirates did you notice that when they flipped the boat and the sun went down that the big green flash looked and sounded ex...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Hi L.girl, Your not a writer? Then how did you get that post on the board? <grin> Humm, where to start? First I'm not saying that Lost and Pirates are directly related, just that they reference one another from time to time. I think you'll find that Lost references many movies, shows and books. To t...

Re: The Introduction Thread

Hi youse guys.. (I am from the South) What a wide variety the boards collected already. A message board with members who actually have more than a two word vocabulary, who would have ever thought? I'm used to boards like Bill Maher where most posts are four letter words. I've been a caregiver for ol...

Re: Forum Suggestions?

Thanks Jaime..

I did miss it, although its at the top now.

There should be an option on the board to Sticky that Topic and it will stay at the very top of the line so it doesn't wind up on the second page. Noobs might not know in which section to look for the Intro thread.

Thanx again!!

Re: Forum Suggestions?

IMHO... There should be a Weclome "Sticky" in the procrastination area for noobs "such as myself" to say hello and be welcomed by the members of the board. Maybe it's too early to have Regs welcome Noobs though? Are there any Regs yet? I'm guessing there are from the comments sec...

Re: What Brings You to the Keyboard?

Excellent thread!! I was lured to the keyboard first and foremost, now and in the beginning, by the evil internet. I find that the taking in of such a massive amount of information after an hour or two at "sites of the day" that the need for expression on my thoughts just have to happen. I...
