Most Anticipated 2012 Releases

Post by Sommer Leigh » February 10th, 2012, 10:46 am

What books are you most looking forward to coming out this year?

What was it that drew you to it since it hasn't been released or reviewed by the masses yet?
May the word counts be ever in your favor. http://www.sommerleigh.com

The Man who Rained by Ali Shaw. I fell in love with his first book The Girl with Glass Feet. I actually have the second one already and have read it. I was too impatient to wait for it to be published in the U.S. So, that was what I was most looking forward too. My life is complete.

HENNY ON THE COUCH (Grand Central 3/27/12) It's a novel about an artist who's not making art--alternating between three time periods in her life. It's a (mostly) New York story and I like New York. Plus, the characters are imperfect and nuanced.
Oh yeah, and this: I wrote it.

Hmmm... the two I was really looking forward to- the Fault in Our Stars and A Million Suns already came out, but I'm also really want to read: Born Wicked, Black Heart, Katana, Above, Spell Bound, Stormdancer, and the Wild Queen

I learned two weeks ago that Brad Beaulieu's second novel, The Straits of Galahesh came out in April. I loved the first tome and while I have very limited reading time these days, this goes straight to the top of the pile. :)

EDIT: And Angelfall 2, of course. Need More Angelfall.

I'm excited for my friend's novel, Something Strange and Deadly to release in July (Susan Dennard). :-)

I also took her author photo, so that will be fun to see on the jacket! lol
