Aw, man. I had to chase a mushroom through a dungeon to level up. Your method seems way better.Guardian wrote:Just finished my 75th beta read (Partials and fulls in overall). Experience granted. Level up! :)
And, congratulations Steph!

2 items: I survived the first week of my internship and I made the Dean's List at school. I'm living in a surreal world at the moment.

I love all the exclamation marks in this post!

Wow! You are amazing :-) Congrats to you. Isn't it crazy how hard it is to believe our own lives when things are going so well?stephmcgee wrote:2 items: I survived the first week of my internship and I made the Dean's List at school. I'm living in a surreal world at the moment.
I love hearing about your Squee Good news!

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
Things were so down for so long for me that it's still a bit surreal how much of a 180 my life has taken. Thank you for letting me share it without seeming to be bragging. And thank you for the compliments and congratulations.Sommer Leigh wrote:Wow! You are amazing :-) Congrats to you. Ah, jeez, I'm falling behind on my congrats-giving. Kudos to steph and mudpuppy! Guardian, how many beta reads do you have to do to level up to ninja? That would be super cool. There's a photo I think I saw on Facebook (gag) of a guy standing on a corner holding up a sign that read "Will work for awesome ninja skills". I.So.Want.

Joining in with everyone on the "congrats steph and mudpuppy".
Now I have my own brand of good news, though it's not concrete at all. It's just a little something that makes me excited to bugger up all my study for tomorrow's exam and makes me want to dance all night.
I have this character who's been stuck in my head for longer than I've even been writing. He's twisted and complex and hard to do and awesome, and I've done multiple RPG games with him. I know him almost better than I know myself, but no matter how much I looked at his main story, I could not see the end. This very much frustrated the writer in me. I could not reach a satisfying, knock-out ending for this man's story, and I felt he deserved it.
Weeeeeeell, today was Epiphany Day. I have the ending. I have a few more scenes. It's silly, but I actually feel my life is more complete now.
Yep. SQUEE!
