I love quotes. Love them. If anyone feels like sharing their favorite quote, that would be very cool.
Here's a quote I read this morning that I like. She's talking about the artist's path, but I think it applies to alot of things.
"I have learned, as a rule of thumb, never to ask whether you can do something. Say, instead, that you are doing it. Then fasten your seat belt. The most remarkable things follow."
Julia Cameron

Shadow.....you forgot the appendage to that
"Guns don't kill people, people do....but the gun helps, otherwise you'd just be running up to people and shouting BANG!" - Eddie Izzard
Also this one deserves mentioning, especially here:

Great quotes! :)
Okay, here's one I found. I just thought it was funny:
"It took me fifteen years to discover I had no talent for writing, but I couldn't give it up because by that time I was too famous." ~Robert Benchley

Re: Favorite quote
I also love great quotes and have quite a collection of quotations about writing from authors. But my favorite quote is probably this one from a novel:
They sensed that current accounts of the world were inadequate; that they had allowed their windows on reality to become smeared by convention, religion, social stagnation; they knew, in short, that they had things to discover. . . ~ The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles

Re: Favorite quote
I have two favorites, both from Robert Heinlein novels.
"There's nothing wrong with writing for a living as long as you do it in private and wash your hands afterwards."
"Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the hell out of the pig."
