I'm sorry, I know making fun of people is looked down upon on in these forums, but this is just fantastic.

Found the following post on craigslist under writing gigs-
I need and editor and Literary Agent

My book will sell at least 40 million copies

(714) XXX- 9150

If you have the know how & contacts here is your chance for the big one...
Most here aren't published and have trouble getting more than a partial request, but I think it's safe to say we're all in better shape than this guy.

Er, you know I was only kidding with that ad, right? My book will probably only sell 20 million copies at most.

Clicked on the link, and the message said the post was deleted by the author. Or possibly his keeper.

Yes, Elfspirit! My keeper took it down. But I will escape again! MMMWWWAAAHHHAAAHHHAAA!

BTW, the 40 million was a misprint. I meant 400 million copies, of course.

This would have been tempting, but when I was an agent I made it a habit of only representing people who were going to sell 50 million copies. Sorry, pal.
