So I noticed this agency wants query and a synopsis...

Post by abc » August 11th, 2014, 4:47 pm

I am unsure how to send an email to the agent whose agency requests the following: please send a query letter, a 1-page synopsis, a brief bio (including a description of your publishing history), and the first 10-15 pages of your manuscript.

I mean, I know that seems pretty self-explanatory but I don't want to look like a tool. Do I have the query letter up top and sign a thank you and my name and then below that, this?

Dear awesome agent:

Blah blah blah blah.

Thanks!
Me

Synopsis:

blah blah blah

Bio: I HAVE NOTHING INTERESTING TO SHARE

And then below that my first 10 pages?

Also, I do not want to write a synopsis. Poop.

That's pretty much how I do it, abc. I usually put some kind of separator marks between items, such as "~ ~ ~ ~ ~", but that's just me.

We all hear you on the synopsis; it is the most sucktastic part of the whole process, IMNSHO. Gotta do it anyway.
