Cheeky! That is fantastic! I'm so glad for you. It's nice to know that one of our own (I consider all of us here on the Bransforums as just one big family ) has made it to publishing. Or at least almost there. You'll need to give us a play-by-play of how things go so we will know what to expect when our turns come.

Congrats., y'all!
I was just thinking I might have to stop visiting Nathan & Rachelle. I dearly love both their blogs. They make you feel like one of the initiates. They create a virtual community of struggling writers--at various stages of the struggle.
But all this stuff about all the obstacles & challenges (all too real)--it's too dark sometimes when you're just trying to focus on creating/revising.
This forum might be the solution for me. Keep the good stuff coming, y'all!

I agree! There should always be cake! And sadly, the cake is too often a lie (*waits for her the geeky Bransforumers to pick that one up*)cheekychook wrote:As far as I'm concerned there should ALWAYS be cake. Congrats, Cheeky. These are awesome news.

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
Congratulations Cheeky! I'll bring pie to the celebration party. Because you can't have cake without pie.
My hubby started writing a children's book.
He read it to me the other night (and to the kids). It's still in the very early stages, and I don't think he's ever written anything before (aside from tons of love letters to me, but that's not exactly 'writing') but he makes it look so EASY! I have to refrain myself from offering to edit his work, because it's his first draft and I think any newbie writer would give up if they had me as their beta (or alpha) reader. But he's writing a book! Completely different from my genre/audience, and I even told him that I would never be able to do what he's doing. I can't keep things simple and straightforward, I layer my work too much for any child to comprehend.
But.
He's. Writing. A. Book!!!!!!!!
I'm married to a writer!
That gives me major squees!

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
Thanks, Watcher. Dave Gaughran came up with the brilliant idea of me calling myself "Internationally Bestselling Short Story Author Margo Lerwill", and (of course) I like the idea. I am full of squee (and silliness).Watcher55 wrote:That's great news! Congrts
