Penguin sues 12 authors to get advances back

Penguin has filed suit against 12 authors demanding return of royalty advances, plus interest. The original new report was from The Smoking Gun.

Edward Champion reported this list of the individuals being sued and the amounts:
  1. Ana Marie Cox: $81K + $50K interest
  2. Bob Morris: $20K + $4K interest
  3. Carol Guber: $35K + 10K interest
  4. Conrad Tillard: $26.8K
  5. Deborah Branscum: $10K + $2K interest
  6. Elizabeth Wurtzel: $33K + $7.5K interest
  7. Herman Rosenblat: $30K + $10K interest
  8. Jamal Bryant: $56K + $13.5K interest
  9. John Dizard: $40K + $18K interest
  10. Lucy Danielle Siegle: $35K + $7K interest
  11. Marguerite Kelly: $25K + $5K interest
  12. Rebecca Mead: $20K + $2K interest
