Ha, I am not geeking out or going to a midnight release, but I have pre-ordered Mockingjay from Amazon, and BOY, am I looking forward to it! I don't usually buy books (am a library gal aka cheapskate) so you know I have to like something to actually spend $$$$ on a book. I was delighted to go to the Shelfari site and post the cute little thumbnail of Hunger Games on my virtual "bookshelf" on my blogsite. Free, and fun. You can display your fave books, so I did.

I tried to get my mom to read Hunger Games, but she couldn't get into it. Her loss...

Oh man! I read The Hunger games Monday and Tuesday, Catching Fire just came in the mail... and now I'm tapped out! I'll just have to wait until I can afford it- or noone else had it checked out at the library...

My local indie bookstore is doing a midnight release party that I'm seriously contemplating attending. Hmmm.

I can't do midnight. But I'll be at the bookstore bright and early on the 24th. I have to if I want to get the darn thing read before the Bransforums Mockingjay party. I am such a slow reader. Sigh.

Well Borders assures me they will be getting it on the 24th but let's just wait and see. Every other release they've been a month behind. I'll need to get it on the day so I can have it read and out of my mind before I go to Melbourne in September.

I preordered for my Kindle. I hope that means I can refresh my books list at midnight on the 24th and it'll appear!

Is anyone else having to share their MOCKINGJAY with someone else on release day? My husband and I are both anticipating the book. I'll probably cede the Kindle to him on the 24th since Tuesday and Wednesday are his days off work. Then I'll steal it back from him in the evenings since I won't be able to wait for him to finish! I'm a faster reader than he is and will surely have it finished wihtin an evening or two.
