I just got the third Forest of Hands and Teeth book in the mail this weekend. I am about to finish Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and I've already started, and would like to finish, Fury of the Phoenix by Cindy Pon before I start it. I can't wait to see how it ends!trixie wrote:I is for Imagination.
And mine has gone crazy. I have to stop reading dystopian but I can't. I have Forest of Hands and Teeth in my bag right now...

A celebration of great literary monsters!!!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm having trouble writing my A to Z posts. Like, K took me something like 3 and a half hours to write. Crazy! I know what I"m going to do for L, but there are a lot of letters after L that I haven't landed on yet. How is everyone else holding up? I was really good about checking out new blogs from A to H, but exhaustion is kind of creeping in. I am hoping for a second wind come M.

My geekness level just went through the roof (it's over nine thousand (yes, I must stop this now)).
Sommer, I'm holding up all right. There's something to be said for the fact I had more than half the posts already planned, and all Saturday ones already written (since I'm not at the computer to do so). What is more exhausting is keeping up with everyone. At first I checked 4-5 other bloggers, in addition to those of you who were already on my roll. Now it's one or two, max. Oh, and K was a short write, and it's not even about my new Kindle.

Re: A to Z Blog Challenge Participant Posts
Claudie, you preemptively busted me. I'm copping out and writing K for Kindle.
Sommer, yeah, I'm struggling. I have my list of topics ready, but after reading so many other blogs, I think my topics are lame. Might be time to change them up.
I'm also struggling with checking out new blogs. I try to hit 4-5 a day, but even that is hard because inevitably I'm drawn to other blogs or other posts and before you know it, I just killed my lunch surfing instead of editing, reading or running. I also found someone with the same blogger template design as mine, so that sucked. I might change mine but I'm not sure if it's okay to change your design 2 weeks after you opened shop. Would that confuse my (small number of) followers?
Anyway, J is for Jupiter (space-related books in particular!).

Re: A to Z Blog Challenge Participant Posts
I wouldn't worry about having the same template design. Blogger has a very small number of template designs to go around. It's just not all that customizable. So no matter what you pick you'll probably find someone using the same one. You can do a few things to alter the look, custom backgrounds and the like, but the general format for blogger blogs are always the same. You can change you design any time you want though. It's the layout you shouldn't change too often. At the same time, it is better to improve it than to not improve it for fear of changing anything.trixie wrote:Claudie, you preemptively busted me. Hey, I think Kindle is a great topic. I'm lucky enough to follow a gorgeous webcomic that starts with the letter 'K', so I have something easy to fill in the letter.trixie wrote:Claudie, you preemptively busted me. I'm copping out and writing K for Kindle.
I agree with Sommer: don't worry about the layout too much. I've found others with mine, too, but it suits me well for the moment.
