Biography in proposal

Post by GJF » April 20th, 2013, 3:42 pm

In your blog page about writing a book proposal you say in the bio section to tell why you are the best person to write this book; what about if I am aware I may need a professional writer to assist tell a great story; should that be stated? You say to be honest and I'm not sure if I have the skills to deliver the best draft. Many of the agents profiles I have found request similar in the quality if work is presented; I'm fine with it not being my best quality but looking for advice on how to still be able to sell it. Thanks

Yes, if you need the prospective agent to assist you with finding a writer to write the book I'd definitely state that in the query.
