Book Comparisons on back cover summary

Post by murraymax » February 21st, 2012, 1:45 pm

Hi Nathan:

In your opinion, is it acceptable to compare your book to another book in the back cover summary? ie: "The story, reminiscent of blankety blank, is...."
Thank you!

Hi Nathan: the response you posted redirecting me to a prior response, was unrelated to my question. This question was not about quotes, but about using book comparisons.
thanks,

Whoops, sorry! Misread it. I think it's okay to compare as in "will appeal to fans of blankety and blankety" as long as it doesn't seem as if you have the other author's endorsement. Hope that helps.
