My Avatar...

Post by SteevO » February 12th, 2012, 4:02 pm

Hey all. I'm trying to find a picture that I can put up for an avatar, but I'm having a hell of a time. I'm taking pictures, editing them, trying to get the dimensions right, or the pic quality down. I believe it has to be 20kb or less. Not working for me.
How can I find something to fit in there?
Thanks,
SteevO

Do you have PhotoShop or other editing software?

Just type 'image resizing' into google. There are plenty of sites that will do it for free.

If you have your image open in Paint, go to "Image" then down to "Resize/Skew". You can then put in the percentage of the original size you want your image and it'll shrink it for you. Just remember that Ctrl+Z is your best friend on this!! (It's Undo so you can get your image back to its original size and try again.) It took me forever to discover that, but now that I have I adore it. :)
