Critique partners are worth their weight in gold. So (checking financial page) like $20,000 a pound.

Critique Partner Sought

Post by WHJohnston » December 9th, 2014, 1:06 pm

I would love to trade novels with someone and get a solid bit of coaching and critique. My book is a New Adult novel that bridges fantasy into a contemporary setting based on Japanese folklore. I would gladly work with anyone, read through a novel of their own and give my thoughts and ideas. I'm no stranger to critiques or critiquing.

Hi,

I have a memoir that is in third draft and am looking for a trade. It is about growing up in the San Fernando Valley in LA during the Valley Girl era set in the first year of junior high. It deals with struggles of growing up, aspirations and faith. I have been a part of read & critique groups, have had a one hour consult with an editor who sent me in a different direction than I had been going, and sent the first draft, I know big mistake, to friends.
