Re: I'm moving out!

Nothing better than living completely debt free and hey, it may inspire you to purchase your very own home next. I also love Margo's suggestion: 1st ni...

Re: Revision of plot - ugh

Have you considered taking a month away from it? Just move on to something else. Or spend one entire month reading nothing but YA or MG (you have to pick on genre to focus on).

Hope this is helpful.

How awesome! But, where is the orange? No orange?

I showed my kiddos the first one and they've been harassing me to get it. They absolutely go bonkers for cool covers.

Re: Word Count?

Word counts... As a NaNoWriMo participant, I was obsessed with hitting that 50K mark, but quickly realized that most of my 50K written at the time was crap. I whittled my MS down to a svelte 28K and added quality. I'm almost back up to 50. I think in the end, my novel will hover around 55-60K I gues...

Re: Recommend any dystopian YA books?

I'll third The Handmaid's Tale- excellent book. And yes, most dystopian novels make me depressed after reading, but isn't that the draw? Isn't that supposed to be the goal of any book? To feel something? To close it with the words and themes swirling around in your head, like an after taste of a goo...

Re: I...I have to go...

Sit. Breathe. Put your feet up. Breathe again. Drink a cup of hot tea. Now, quickly bring the palm of your hand across your face in a sweeping fashion. Do it until your cheek tingles and reddens.
