I had a writerly nerd moment when I discovered there was a dictionary of literary characters at the back of the 1970 unabridged dictionary our neighbor gave us. There are a lot of hidden treasures to be had from an unabridged dictionary, I tell you.

I don't usually skip parts in novels, but I do in novellas. My mom gave me this one set she bought, and the middle story I read the first few pages, the last few pages, and didn't miss a thing. The whole story was a little trite.

I'm an escapist. I'd rather not write about my own life. However, I think if you're going to write a story, you had better pull on your knowledge of the world around you. Currently I am making half-hearted attempts at everything because I made a list of goals for myself,. but I'm not exactly living up to them. Instead, I'm asleep.
