Re: What do you do well?
I've been told that I create intriguing villains, and develop my characters well Thanks for posting this! It is nice once and a while to be reminded that even though we are always learning, we do have some things that are already good in our mss.

Re: Best Dystopian Novels
My favorites have been: Divergent (HIGHLY recommend), the Uglies series, and Matched. They each take a different approach to the idea of a dystopian environment that's very interesting.

Re: Character Creation Process

I just fleshed them out based on what happened to them. But if I get a Shiny New Idea I might write down a character description ...

Re: Protagonist blog idea
I agree with Matt and Sommer, even if it were my favorite author I probably wouldn't read it - mainly because part of the fun of reading a book is getting to know the character. If the character is already out there though, some of the magic of the book is gone.
Re: Titles
When in doubt, name it after the main character (Harry Potter, Eragon) With my current WIPS, which are in a duet, I named them each after the most important piece of setting in the book that sets the plot moving. In the first it's Griffin's Song, after the pirate ship that ruins the protagonists lif...
