Re: YA Query—FB
Hi Shipple, Thanks for your feedback. The only thing I had trouble with is—I'm not sure what a teen speaker is. I googled it and all I could come up with is a motivational speaker for teens. Is this what you meant? And—from your experience—do you see a lot of these motivational speaker types on Face...

YA Query—FB
Hi everyone. I was hoping I could get some feedback on this query. Particularly, I'm wondering if the plot is clear. But any other advice in general is much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Dear , There is another world inside Facebook—a place where people come into existence when their real-world co...

Re: Resume?
I feel dumb for not responding sooner. But anyway, the agency is Curtis Brown. http://www.curtisbrown.com/submissions.php Here is the blurb: "Curtis Brown represents adult and children’s authors of all genres, including illustrators. If you would like to submit a manuscript or proposal, please ...

Resume?
An agent I want to query requires a resume. I'm used to agents needing query letters and synopses, but does anyone know what an author's resume should look like? Or can you please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Query: Acea and the Animal Kingdom
I interpreted it as, "This is the first novel I've ever written."
Maybe others wouldn't read it that way, but either way, I wouldn't mention it.

You need more details, to explain what makes this story interesting and original.

Good God, don't tell them it's your first novel.
Re: YA Query?
I actually think it looks great. I would go with your second revised edition though.
I'll be eager to find out how the agent hunt goes. Keep us posted!

Re: Removing Tabs
Thanks to everyone for the replies. I'm stunned at how little I know about this, and also impressed at everyone's expertise. This is not easy for me to figure out. I am blown away that I wasn't supposed to use tab all this time. I always thought that's how you write. You finish a paragraph, hit retu...

Removing Tabs
I have a question about formatting a word document. I'm using Microsoft word for Mac. I'm trying to submit a novella to a publisher and I'm confused by their formatting requirements. Here is the line that baffles me: "Please format all manuscripts in single line with the first line indented, an...
