Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
My SQUEE GOOD NEWS is that I had a second piece published on the Blog of Literary Agent, Sarah LaPolla, and a third piece accepted for publication on her Blog at a future time. Sarah published an excerpt from my short story, TIGER IN THE PLUM BLOSSOMS, here: http://bigglasscases.blogspot.com/2010/09...

Re: Is there such a thing as being too controversial?
Great post, Nathan! Right now, I'm reading NIGHT PROBE! by Clive Cussler. Politics run through it, but the story is such an amazing thriller, that's what stands out front and center.

They had nothing left to eat, though.
She rummaged in the refrigerator, and saw
a box of crayons and a skateboard.
"Skate-tagging again, Quincy? And where's my beer?"
“The witch used it for a spell.”

I thought Mitchell's CLOUD ATLAS was absolutely awesome. It's one of my favorite books.

Re: Page Critique Friday 9/10/10
artrosch,
I like this a lot. One main problem is that, at the beginning, there appears to be a bit too much description that sounds like a list. If you could weave all your description into the story more naturally, I think the story would be more intriguing. Overall, I really like this excerpt!
