Tough question! Lately it's "The Meanest Man in the World" by John Doe
or
pretty much any George Strait song ever recorded.

Just a few weeks ago I stumbled on an article from last year about the anti-hero on TV. Basically, it claims the trend will die because series can only take the narrative so far. They have to keep ratcheting up the plot until they hit the ceiling. http://www.newsweek.com/2009/01/03/too-much-of-a-bad...

Title: A Hole in the Neighborhood Genre: Romantic Suspense WC:275 I hid out in the kitchen, covered in bad perfume from all the hugging. I wouldn’t watch while they slurped their coffee and dropped crumbs on my mother’s Turkish rug. It was pristine after all these years. Dad vacuumed it every week, ...

Re: Write a query before you're done with the book?
I started doing this accidentally as I was reading and learning about querying as I wrote the manuscript. Now I do this with almost every book idea. I write a query. If the query is weak or I'm not sure how to approach it, I know I need to keep working on the idea/plot before I start writing. Or may...

Gosh, not too many. I know Kalyn Hemphill, the model winner from last season's Project Runway. We went to the same high school, church, etc. I know a few other models from my hometown. (They put something in the water down on the Texas Gulf Coast I guess.) Corresponded with Alicia Erian (author of T...

Re: TWILIGHT - thoughts?
I'm really pleased to see a conversation about what she did RIGHT, cause there's no denying that home girl hit the jack pot. I don't think the writing is that bad. I pulled out my copy a few weeks back and read the first couple of pages--it's decent, adverbs aside. I can hear Bella's voice, even tho...

Have I ever been inspired by a song? Goodness, yes! My current inspiration is The Golden State, John Doe. However, my novel is not set in California. Maybe the next one. And soundtrack for current project is definitely the entire Raising Sand album by Alison Krauss and Robert Plant.
